Thursday, February 4th, 2010

The commercial broadcasts during the Super bowl are a lot more fun to watch super bowl live stream. I thought it was time to look at what we might see in the way of super bowl 44 commercials, since we’re now in Super bowl style, with game six behind us and the season underway. Here’s a quick list of the top ten super bowl 44 commercials of all time: At Number 10, the Budweiser Frogs, at Number 9, the Xerox Monks, at Number 8 we have the Tabasco Mosquito in 1998, at number 7 is the EDS cat herder family, at number 6 is one that will give any super bowl 44 ads a run for their money, at number 5, Monster.com showed us what the world would be like for kids of the future in this 1999 Super bowl commercial, at number 4 is Reebok’s 2003 mash up between an office and linebacker Larry Tate, at number 3, E*Trade decided showed us a monkey and a man clapping and shrugging over their $2 Million loss in 2,000, at number 2, was Coke’s 1979 entry, Mean Joe Greene and finally at number 1 is an entry that no Super bowl 44 commercial is likely to top: The Apple 1984 ad.

Cartier Tank Replica

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

A Cartier watch is the most recognizable top luxury watch ever created by the hand of a craftsman: you will find something similar also if you could evaluate tens of different top quality brands of watch manufacturers. A Cartier could make a person stand out of the crow, and it could make you appear as a very rich and important person, whoever you are. You will never been the same person if you wear a top quality luxury watch made by the Swiss manufacturers Cartier.
But now you may afford the same top quality of lifestyle also buying a simple and cheap cartier tank replica: with such a replica you will look as a very important and very rich people. The people around you, and all your co-workers and friend, will ever imagine that you are wearing a cheap and affordable cartier tank replica: they will think you are wearing a genuine and very expansive top quality watch.
Now you may appear as a very rich and a very important person, just buying a cheap cartier tank replica, that could ensure you that people around you will be amazed by the lifestyle you may afford: let co-workers and relative think once you are a very rich and important person and let them empathize with you: who is wearing a tank cartier replica is absolutely similar to who is wearing a genuine and very expensive cartier watch.
The most popular film actors and politicians always wear very expansive watch: set you on the same level of the envied and lucky people, and let other think you are a better person of how you are. People will realize you are a very rich and important man or woman and they will think twice about how lucky you are, if you could show a so expansive top luxury watch.

My 2009 Wedding Diary | Plants for My Wedding Favors

Here in the Philippines, we usually call it souvenir. But in browsing the internet I find it helpful to use keywords like wedding favors aside from wedding souvenirs. There are so many choices, you can even make your own wedding favors.

Considering my theme, I forgo the idea of choosing whether it is going to be candles, beautiful lamps or the Pinay inspired wedding souvenirs like the beautiful pieces made from capiz and abaca.

Instead, we are considering giving plants. I saw this lucky bamboo tree at Mall of Asia, 20 small stalks cost around P250. I just have to find a suitable vase and buy the colored jelly which is helpful for the plant. The sales lady said that the plant is a little bit sensitive and also my “groom” thinks it is a nice way of saying “Thank You”. I just hope my guest will appreciate it as much as we will appreciate their presence for our big day.

Talking About Corruption in the Philippines

Friday, December 12th, 2008

Our beloved Philippines is never left behind when talking about the most corrupt nations.

Despite all the achievements we are receiving from other categories like Manny Pacquiao’s winning in boxing and Arnel Pineda and Charice Pempengco sensation in singing. The truth that our country is seriously ill with corruption is still very saddening. And, what is worst is that when I checked the other nations who are also in the list, the very evident common denominator in most of them is poor infrastructure, poor economy and a very unstable government.

And, if you were to compare our country from them, perhaps you would agree with me that our nation is far from those descriptions. Then, why are we tagged as the most corrupt country in Asia?

Well, this is the reality of life, it is not happening here in our country alone, but sadly to some of the poorest nation, too… like in Nigeria (news from cnn.com), Somalia, Myanmar (from Forbes.com) and other nations which have also some of the worst stories of corruption.

But for now, only time can tell when will Corruption die. But at least, we know that within ourselves we can do something to stop corruption. And, I think heeding the infomercial  “no to Palakasan” is one step closer to a corrupt free nation. What do you think? :-)

Sarah Geronimo | Bench Image Model

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Despite her wholesome and squeaky clean image Sarah Geronimo chooses to portray – that didn’t stopped Bench management to see something in her worthy to be one of their rooster of famous image models.

I always admire Sarah’s fashion sense, although sometimes I wish she could be more sexy and daring but Sarah really thinks she doesn’t have the body to flaunt. :-)

Remembering Jordan…A high school friend

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

Last Sunday, Cling (one of my best friends) and I went to visit a high school friend who is suffering from head tumor… It was a very nostalgic visit ‘coz we haven’t seen him since high school graduation.

We laughed and remembered those good old days… but then behind those happy smiles at the back of our minds it was some sort of a “reality check” – that we are not getting any younger anymore and if before we never bothered to think about serious stuffs in life, because we were just mere children with just petty childish problems in life, (well.. no matter how insignificant those were problems before I still believe that they were important factors that have molded us into what we are now:-) but now things have changed – we are facing grave reality on how life should be lived.

Today, five days after that visit… Jordan passed away.

Although we haven’t been together for some quite time, knowing that his gone is somehow shocking, upsetting and sorrowing…’coz I feel that he is one of us, from our batch, same generation of my own, and he represents me, Cling and every batchmate of ours..

A young body that had gone to rest and was beaten up by a dreadful sickness…with dreams that won’t be fulfilled anymore. A life lived shortly… and what was the purpose of that life?

I remembered his painful words asking “What happened to my life?” Maybe Jordan did felt that somehow it was a wasted life…

But I saw the purpose of his death – on the meaning that he gave to our life now that he is gone. A lifeless testimony that would give life to our passion to live life to its fullest… to cherish everything and everyone around us and ultimately to let God be our greatest goal… ‘coz in the end it is where we are all going to…
