Today’s Text Quote | Love Hurts

Friday, January 9th, 2009
Welcome to my text quotes portion! I am putting here some of the text quotes which I think are challenging, inspiring or interesting, thoughts that would reflect my own beliefs and philosophy. :-) (sayang naman if i will just delete them from my cellphone kasi, so why not preserved some here in my blog, instead.)

“Everyone says that love hurts, but that’s not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Envy hurts. Everyone gets these things confused with love, but in reality, love is the only thing in this world that covers up all pain and makes someone feel wonderful again. Love is the only thing in the world that does not hurt.”

What else then can I say? So very true, we blame love when the one we love hurts us.

But then, we are just human who are prone to commit mistakes in our life, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we are not loved by the person who hurt us. We have just been a victim of their weaknesses.

Thus, love doesn’t hurt but instead love can restore because if we sincerely know the meaning of love, we can find in our hearts the strength to forgive…to understand… to be patient.

But anyway, the song “love hurts” of incubus still rocks. :-)

Today’s Text Quote | Pursuit of Happiness

Monday, December 15th, 2008

Welcome to my text quotes portion! I am putting here some of the text quotes which I think are challenging, inspiring or interesting, thoughts that would reflect my own beliefs and philosophy. J (just take note that the quotes are not in “text” or shortcut form anymore)

“Happiness is never lost if you just know where to look for it. It’s always in your heart, were love, care, trust lives.”

I think this quote is just a reflection of how imperfect human’s are. And, part of that imperfection is our insatiable thirst for happiness, we are always not satisfied with what we have. Perhaps it is already in human’s nature to always seek for something better – thus, we often feel unhappy with our achievements or what we have, comparing it with others and thinking it is not yet enough. Just like living sad in a humble but decent kubo just because our neighbor is living in a mansion.

Yes, it is true I am always trying to look for happiness, too. Although I know that the true happiness is already in my heart, because of the love, care and trust of the people around me. Sometimes I forget about that and it makes me bad, it makes me bitter and self destructive, but then again I am not perfect.

But I guess there is nothing wrong in aspiring for something better, just as long as we can truly learn how to be happy with what we have now. So may this quote guide our endless pursuit of happiness. :-)
